The European University Association (EUA) is the representative organisation of universities and national rectors’ conferences in 47 European countries. EUA plays a crucial role in the Bologna Process and in influencing EU policies on higher education, research and innovation. EUA is the coordinator of the UNI-SET (UNIversities in the SET-Plan) Project, http://uni-set.eu/, which aims to mobilise European universities to contribute to the ambitious European energy goals spelled out in the European Strategic Energy Technology Plan, the European Energy Union and the Europe 2020 strategy. For EUA, UNI-SET is a step in further developing the European Platform of Universities in Energy Research & Education (EUA-EPUE), which represents the university sector in the SET-Plan and in the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA). The objective of EUA-EPUE is to pool the collective resources and knowledge available in European universities and to become an interface between European universities and the European institutions.
